Would A Rose Smell As Sweet By Any Other Name

Shakespeares quote was written 400 years ago.

I did read once that over the last 400 years all roses did not have a scent and that scented roses were reintroduced in the 20th century.

Why this is so I do not know.

So, for 400 years did it occur to people with unscented roses...
